The PELLEGRINO family has Italian origins and a long tradition of craftsmanship. Founded in Ravenna in 1965 from the dream of its young founder, « Pellegrino » by Pellegrino Domenico laid the solid roots of what would later become the current Pellegrino S.r.l., a successful company that today boasts more than 50 years of experience in production and installation in various sectors. An institution in Ravenna! The professional philosophy of its founder remains unchanged over time, handed down from father to son, up to the third generation today and looking forward to future generations.
Following repeated requests from a customer, in 1995 his son Marco embarked on his first experience of designing and installing flood protection. This first order was followed by many others, thanks also to the problems of the Ravenna area, such as the phenomenon of subsidence and flooding from the sea.
But the turning point came when the local administrations decided to make the barriers compulsory in advance. This is an important moment for the company: the certificates for the barriers do not respect the dimensions provided and the watertightness promised. Suppliers do not answer technical questions and do not even know the problems of compartment geometry.
This gave rise to the push towards a new direction, that of designing a new barrier, with an easy but effective system and better performance. Hours and hours of work in the workshop to reach the first patent, crowned by the first Certification of the Giordano Istituto S.p.a.
Since then a lot of water has passed… but under the bridge.
SAFETY: PATENTED AND CERTIFIED ANTI-FLOODING BARRIERS AND BULKHEADS.
On the market there are many bulkheads without certifications or with simple qualitative declarations, because they have not passed the tightness tests.
Our ethics require us to provide only safe and certified products. We are the only manufacturer to have certified and patented our anti-flooding systems for measures up to 5 meters in length in a single bulkhead.
The seal certification guarantees that the anti-flooding system, installed in a workmanlike manner, limits damage and has an insignificant passage of water.
